On A Quest at Bangalore

The screening of “ON A QUEST” movie depicting the life of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda took place at Santosh Theatre, K G Road, Majestic on Sunday, 22nd February 2015 and Saturday, 28th February 2015 mornings between 8.00 and 10.15 am. Pujya Swami Hamsananda welcomed the gathering and thanked Sri B C S Narayan of M/s Santosh Theatre for their magnanimous gesture of providing the theatre for screening free of cost. He also complimented the work of Pujya Swami Mitrananda and the entire production team of the movie for their commendable work. Pujya Swami Ramatmananda performed Chinmaya Aarati before the show commenced. The huge Santosh theatre was packed to capacity and everyone admired the movie which brought back memories of Pujya Gurudev’s struggle, sadhana and single handed effort in nurturing a huge banyan tree called Chinmaya Mission under which millions of sadhaks have found peace and tranquility in their Quest for Truth. The movie brought back many divine memories of Gurudev and several senior members were seen huddled together sharing their thoughts. Pujya Swami Brahmananda’s sankalpa of allowing free entry to all admirers of Gurudev was indeed a blessing and several devotees could not control their emotion at Swamiji’s unique gesture which allowed them to have a glimpse of the unknown part of Gurudev’s earlier life and the severe penance that transformed an atheist non-believer to a Realised Master – a Yuga Purusha.
