8 th May – As a homage to our Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanda ,the CVK family observed the Janmasatasbdhi celebration today in the school auditorium.

The programme started with a prayer followed by a birthday song for Gurudev composed by Guruji.

It was followed by Ashtothara Namavaly, Archana, Bhajans, Geetha chanting and Chinmaya Aarathi in the presence of Management committee members ,staff and students.

The Chinmaya Birth Centenary Celebrations which began on a glorious and colourful note a year ago with the unexpected visit of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda to the Delhi centre on 7th May 2015, culminated most fittingly with a puja and abhishek at Pujya Gurudev’s pratima.

Conducted by Swami Durgeshananada, Acarya Chinmaya Mission Gurgaon, in the presence of beloved ‘Amma’ Swamini Gurupriyananda, the ceremony was like cool shower of grace and blessings. The fragrance of the flowers, the chanting of Vedic mantras and the Shri Chinmaya Ashtottarshata Namavalli filled the atmosphere with divine vibrations.

Bedecked in new saffron robes and fragrant garlands, Pujya Gurudev looked serene and resplendent. The entire experience filled the hearts of the gathered devotees with devotion for their Beloved Master.

Zoe Collington, a young devotee who had been nestled in Pujya Gurudev’s lap as a young child, expressed her devotion for Pujya Gurudev by exhibiting a series of paintings-cum-photographs (in mixed media) featuring Gurudev.

The morning concluded with a breakfast bhandara. The Centenary Celebrations are coming to a close, but devotees and disciples of Pujya Gurudev have certainly been infused with renewed enthusiasm to further expand Gurudev’s vision and continue reaching out to more and more people all over the world.

BCC celebration at Chinmaya Sandeepany & Chinmaya Pushpanjali Kolhapur

At Chinmaya Sandeepany Ashram, Toap-Sambhapur, Kolhapur for birth centenary a four day bala-vihar camp was taken by Swami Atmadevananda. In all 40 students, Narayana-Sookta Chanting and concentration techniques were taught.
On 8th May, about 125 devotees attended paduka puja. Swami Atmadevananda, in a brief talk, explained the teachings of Pujya Gurudev.  Programme ended with bhajan sandhya.
Early morning, Swami Atmadevananda, went all the way to city to meet old stalwarts, who had rendered yeoman service to the ashram. Those people were garlanded by bala-vihar campers. the senior old members were really touched by this gesture.
At Chinmaya Pushpanjali:

All the children watched the four clips that are sent by ccmt. They performed Guripaduka Pooja by chanting 108 names of Pujya Gurudev. They also did japa of  ‘Om Shree Chinmaya Sadgurave Namah’

BCC celebration at CM Vidyalaya Tripunithura

The hundredth birth anniversary of Swami Chinmayananda, was celebrated by the students, staff and the management of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Tripunithura on 8th May , Sunday, at their Layam Road Campus from 7.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Salutations and rich tributes were paid to the immortal Guru on this day. His Padukas were carried with due respect and honour to the venue by students accompanied by “Chendamelam” and chantings.Archana was performed by the students and the staff of the Vidyalaya followed by Chinmaya Arathi.

Sri. K. K Nair, President of Chinmaya Mission,Tripunithura, and Sri Rama Varma, former President and treasurer of Chinmaya Mission Tripunithura, addressed the gathering on the occasion.They shared with the audience their rich experiences and fond memories of Gurudev. A Dance recital was performed by our students Vipanchika S Kumar and Shriya Venugopal of Class V. Bhajans were sung by the School choir as a tribute to Pujya Gurudev.The programme concluded by showing Video clippings of Pujya Gurudev’s Gita discourses.This brought alive the memories of the most powerful orator the World has ever seen. A Power Point Presentation of Pujya Gurudev’s life was also shown which inspired the audience. Children and Staff paid their respects at the Lotus feet of Pujya Gurudev. Prasad was distributed among the audience.

Closing ceremony of BCC at CM vidyalaya Kasargod

Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vidyanagar Kasargod observed the closing ceremony of the Birth Centenary Celebration of Pujya Gurudev the spiritual legend, with great enthusiasm.

 The inaugural function was headed by Shri B.M. Hegde, a well known cardiologist, great orator and also vice-chancellor of Manipal University. In this auspicious occasion a great thought provoking speech was delivered which took the audience to the world of Scientific facts. The concept of  ‘Human Body is the temple of living God’ could reach to the gathering through  the sacred words of Shri Hegde. Heroes of the past, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein and their ideas were made alive through live examples.

Apart from these, a grand feast to the eyes was organized under the leadership of Laxmi Prabha. Memories of Pujya Gurudev were cherised with the video clippings. A grand feast was also organized.

Gurudev Janmadivas celebration at Vadodara

Chinmaya Mission Vadodara celebrated pujya Gurudev’s Janmadivas in unique way. More than 150 devotee watched On a Quest in Hindi.They all performed Padukapooja , Archana, Bhajans,Satsang,video clippings, sung Pujya Guruji’ s compositions song on pujya Gurudev and Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra. Holy Geeta in Gujarati was released and copies were distributed to the people involved in making of it.

Entire function was followed by Pujya Gurudev’s Aarti and Mahaprasad (Lunch).

Chinmaya Jayanti Celebration at Guwahati

Chinmaya Mission Guwahati  started Birth Centenary celebrations with a Prabhat Ferry around the City of Guwahati with over 100 devotees and well wishers. Memebers, Devi Group, CHYKs, BalVihar children with their parents and Teachers & students of GNT Chinmaya Vidyalaya in open trucks, private cars & bikes went around the city chanting “Sri Chinmaya SadGurave Namah” in loud speakers and filled the atmosphere with positive vibes. Some of the passersby also joined the ferry and started Chinmaya chanting.

On completion of the ferry participants had a community breakfast and soon after joined Guru Paduka Puja.

CM Guwahati has plans for day long celebrations with nos. of activities on the occasion of 100th Birth Day of Pujya Gurudev to make the day great.

After the success of morning programme, the afternoon and evening is pact with lots of programme for making the day  memorable for CM Guwahati.

Birthday Celebrations at Chinmaya Ranjan

Pujya Gurudev Chinmayananda’s 101st birth anniversary was celebrated at Chinmaya Ranjan, New Delhi with great fervour and enthusiasm. The day also saw the conclusion of the birth centenary year of Gurudev.
After traditional lighting of the lamp, the evening began with devotional music rendered by Chinmaya Ranjan’s very own Swaranjali group. Apart from Bhajans on Ganesha, Shiva, Saraswati and Govinda, the Swaranjali group paid an apt musical tribute to Gurudev on his birth anniversary through two melodious compositions by Guruji Tejomayanandaji, namely Gurudev Tava Mahaniya Kripa and Janmashubhadine Tava he Sadguro.
It was now time to screen director R.S. Prasanna’s Biopic on Swami Chinmayananda’s life and spiritual journey called On a Quest. This beautiful film with outstanding cinematography and French subtitles ran to a full house and complete silence engulfed the auditorium as people watched the amazing spiritual quest of an amazing seeker with rapt attention. The message had sure gone home!
Gurudev’s Aarti was conducted by Chinmaya Ranjan’s Swamini Gurupriyanandaji, with the Swaranjali group lending its voice to the proceedings. At the end, Swamini Gurupriyanandaji, widely known as Amma, offered a gracious Prasadam dinner to all her guests. As always, this was yet another joyous celebration at Chinmaya Ranjan that one would not forget for a long time to come.
