Condolence Message From Guruji for Ashok Singhalji

18 November 2015

Subject: Condolence message from Swami Tejomayananda, Global Head, Chinmaya Mission

Hari Om!

While I was in transit at Aurangabad airport, I watched the news on Television of the passing away of dear and respected Shri Ashok Singhalji. Besides his relationships with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Pujya Gurudev, Swami Chinmayanandaji of the Chinmaya Mission, I too had a very personal bond with him.

The VHP has lost a great leader but I am sure his name and memory will continue to inspire all dedicated members of the Parishad. On behalf of the entire Chinmaya Mission, and on my own, I pay my homage to Shri Ashokji.

With Prem & Om,

Tejomayananda
(Global Head, Chinmaya Mission)

Decoding Dharma

Hailing from many different states and even outside the country in some cases, JCHYKs came together this past summer (August 17th to 21st, 2015) at this year’s JCHYK camp held at Chinmaya Somnath in Chantilly, VA. The camp, entitled Decoding Dharma, was held under the tutelage of Vivekji. JCHYKs had the opportunity not only to seek answers to some of the most enigmatic questions explored in our Hindu scriptures, but also to introspect and share their newfound knowledge with others. The camp consisted of satsangs led by Vivekji and a discourse with Swami Dheeranandaji, explaining to the JCHYKs, among many things, the 3 SD’s. The JCHYKs were taught the meaning of (1) sanatana dharma, that is, the eternal responsibility to be happiness, through the process of (2) self-development, which in turn comes by (3) studying discipline.
