The Satsang can be summarized as that the greatest fear in human history is the fear of disease and death and that the root cause is identification with the body. Lord Ganesha who is attributed to be the lord of all senses instills in us the true knowledge that the Self is beyond the body and helps in leading a fearless life devoid of all negative tendencies. All our experiences in the waking, dream and sleep states are supported by the all pervading everlasting Consciousness which is the witness to all our actions but remains untainted by them. Just as all waves take birth, are supported and dissolve into the ocean all our experiences ultimately dissolve into the cosmos leaving only the completeness – Sat Chit Ananda which is our real nature.
The Satsang commenced with bhajans from Devi group members and later Pujya Swami Ramatmananda, chief executive of KCST gave a bird’s eye view of the mission’s programmes for the next year.
The Satsang was attended by over 500 mission members from different parts of the city.
YAJNA No. 44
The forty fourth Yajna in the Akhanda Gita Jnana Yajna series to celebrate Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s birth centenary celebration in Bangalore was conducted in Kannada by Pujya Swamini Samatananda, of Sripaadakshetra, Bangalore from 01/03/2015 to 07/03/2015 taking Bhagavad Gita Chapter 5 in the evenings at Chinmaya Mission, Malleswaram centre. The Yajna was inaugurated by Sri H N Chandrashekar, an ardent devotee of Pujya Gurudev.
Karma Sanyasa does not mean stopping all actions, but dropping the doership attitude. This will help in achieving quietitude and tranquility of mind. Sanyasa is not renouncing duty or taking delight in escaping from duty; but being fully active and yet remaining in equilibrium when faced with the dwandwas in life. One should lead life like a lamp with a Sakshi Bhava and not get affected by the events taking place around him. It is necessary to purify the mind through sadhana as the world appears the way the mind sees it. The world always remains the same; it is the mind which qualifies what a person experiences. So it is necessary to have a calm and composed mind at all times.
The Yajna was well attended.

Devotion towards the Lord can be in the form of idol worship through body, mind and intellect or meditating upon the formless nature of Godhood with a clear understanding of the essence of Self. Both ultimately lead to the realisation that “I” am not the body but the life principle illuminating all names and forms in the universe. But to attain this state of supreme bliss one has to go through the initial path of selfless work dropping the Ego and rise above all dualities surrendering all karma at the feet of the Lord and accepting the fruit with a Prasada bhava.
The Yajna was well attended.

Tossed in the sea of life most of us have lost our strength to face even the smallest calamity and resort to seek peace in the silent forests. Bhagavad Gita clearly indicates that renunciation is not an outward appearance but attitude of mind to renounce the fruits of all action and lead a selfless life developing positive thoughts through control of senses, mind and intellect through study of scriptures and deep thinking. An attitude of practice is more important than getting stuck to unnecessary details of the means maintaining the serenity of mind and bringing it under one’s control.
The Yajna was well attended.

It is foolish to wait for an incarnation to bring about some miracle, but to imbibe the noble qualities of our puranic characters to lead a better life and bring peace and calmness to our surroundings by purifying the mind from negative qualities to attain the higher Truth. Religions are divergent to suit the varying temperaments, but all lead to the same ultimate Truth. The root cause of all misery is attachment and the best way to get over the attachment is to drop the feeling of doership and perform all actions as His will accepting whatever comes in the process as His prasad.
The Yajna was well attended.
