The Ernakulam Edition of Mathrubhumi Malayalam Daily of 14th June 2016 has reported about the approval from Government of India for establishing Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth as Deemed University.

Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India, has accorded official approval for the Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth with Deemed University status. Chinmaya International Foundation, Veliyanad, in Kerala and Chinmaya Vibhuti, Kolwan, in Maharashtra would be the two campuses of the University.
The Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth will function under the administrative control of Chinmaya International Foundation, Piravom, Ernakulam and Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai. H.H. Swami Tejomayananda, Head, Chinmaya Mission Worldwide, will inaugurate the official Website of the University on Tuesday (14-06-2016) at 10.00 am in Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai.
