The trees, the plants, the air, the very walls of the Chinmaya Mission reverberated in meditative silence during the two-hour beautiful puja expertly conducted by Swami Prakarshanandaji to celebrate Chinmaya Jayanti – 8 May 2017. Beginning with invocations to Sri Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati, Gurudev and chanting of Sri Ganesh Atharvashirsha, it was followed by a delightful and tender abhishek of Gurudev’s Pratima accompanied to chanting of Sri Rudram. Led by Swamiji's melodious voice, the 70-strong crowd of devotees fervently repeated the 108 names of Pujya Gurudev. Swamiji concluded with a short, inspirational meditation, remembering Gurudev with love, gratitude and devotion. Devotees, affectionately offered flowers to Gurudev’s resplendent Pratima attired in shimmering, orange robes. The reflective celebration ended with a delicious Maha Prasad.
