Akhanda Geeta Yajnas for Month of November in Karnataka

AKHANDA GITA JNANA YAJNA No. 27 – 30

The twenty seventh Yajna in the Akhanda Gita Jnana Yajna series to celebrate Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s birth centenary celebration in Bangalore was conducted in English by Br. Sujay Chaitanya of Mangalore centre from 02/11/2014 to 08/11/2014 taking Bhagavad Gita chapter 15 in the evenings at SNEA Bhavan, Sahakaranagara. The Yajna was inaugurated by Smt Janaki Amma, an ardent devotee of Pujya Gurudev.

Yajna No 27 Sujay Chaitanya-72Sujayji gave a detailed explanation of samsara being compared to the peepul tree with the roots representing the Brahman and varieties of life depicted by the branches and leaves through the Vedas. The Jivas get attached forced by the Gunas and the only way to attain liberation is by cutting the tree of samsara with the axe of non-attachment and knowledge. Explaining in detail the immanence of Parmatman, Sujayji took the listeners to a different plane explaining the Vibhuti of the Lord. All life, existence and energy are nothing but the presence of the Lord and He pervades in everything transcending the perishable and the imperishable.

The Yajna was very well attended.

The twenty eighth Yajna in the Akhanda Gita Jnana Yajna series to celebrate Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s birth centenary celebration in Bangalore was conducted in Kannada by Swamini Sampannananda of Sagar centre from 09/11/2014 to 15/11/2014 taking Bhagavad Gita chapter 7 in the evenings at Manandi Convention Hall, Jayanagar. The Yajna was inaugurated by Sri Manandi Nanjunda Shetty, an ardent devotee of Pujya Gurudev.

Yajna No 28 SampnnanandaSwaminiji in her simple style introduced the concept of theoretical and practical knowledge stressing that both are necessary to evolve one’s personality. Getting attached to the Nama Roopa we forget our real identity that is Sat Chit Ananda. It is only through the knowledge of the Self and surrender at the feet of the Lord that one can overcome the power of Maya and realize the Truth.

The Yajna was very well attended.

 

The twenty ninth Yajna in the Akhanda Gita Jnana Yajna series to celebrate Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s birth centenary celebration in Bangalore was conducted in Kannada by Swami Adityananda of Mandya centre from 16/11/2014 to 22/11/2014 taking Bhagavad Gita chapter 7 in the evenings at Prashant Ganapati Temple, Prashantnagar. The Yajna was inaugurated by Sri B Krishnakumar, president of Chinmaya Mission.

Yajna No 29 Swami Adityananda_72Swamiji explained how life itself will evolve human personality and if one is sincere in his sadhana Guru’s grace will shower on him to study the scriptures so that true knowledge will dawn upon him. Lord Krishna did not just transfer the supreme knowledge to Arjuna but through right understanding Arjuna overcame his delusion and realised his true nature. Unless we understand our true nature and come out of the body consciousness the Truth that the entire universe is nothing but expression of the supreme Lord will not dawn on us.

The thirtieth Yajna in the Akhanda Gita Jnana Yajna series to celebrate Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s birth centenary celebration in Bangalore was conducted in Kannada by Swami Brahmananda from 23/11/2014 to 29/11/2014 taking Bhagavad Gita chapter 4 in the evenings at Mangala Mantap, N M K R V Womens’ College, Jayanagar. The Yajna was inaugurated by Sri Purandar Sharma, senior member of the mission.

Yajna No 30 Brahmaji - 72Pujya Swamiji explained the importance of performing actions in the outer world and yet remain unaffected by the fruits and responses to the actions.  It is only the knowledge of the Self that can destroy all our misconceptions of identification with the body, mind and intellect. Unless one gets deeply rooted in the Truth that ‘I’ am the all pervading immortal eternal entity not bound by the body, real peace and tranquility cannot be experienced. This is possible only through the shastras and guidance from a realised Master who will help in burning and cutting asunder all wrong notions.

The Yajna was very well attended with almost 1000 sadhaks participating daily.
